Last Saturday’s Easter Fun Morning included Messy Church style Easter activities such as Easter ‘bonnets’, Easter gardens, egg decorating, and footsteps to the cross (ie cutting around your footprint in paper and together making a footprint trail along the aisle to a 7ft wooden cross). The story was about Jesus’ washing his disciples’ feet, by way of smelly socks and a ‘sock cross’. We ended with ‘sock prayers’ – turn it inside out and thank God for turning the world upside down; hold the sole and thank God for walking with us and so on. ‘Amen’ involved throwing all the socks into the air! (We used clean socks for the prayers!) Thank you to all involved!
